Girls love Pearls
It is a natural marvel that a tiny grit of sand entering an oyster shell creates the most magnificent natural wonder, a beautifully lustrous pearl. There are many pearl species native to countries such as Australia, Japan, Philippines, China, Indonesia, Scotland, South Pacific and Mexico, each with their own unique colours and characteristics.
The Freshwater pearl comes from a variety of oyster shell species of Chinese and Japanese origin, including hyriopsis cumingii, hyriopsis schlegeli, and cristaria plicata. Their mollusc varieties are Sankaku mussel (China), Ikecho mussel (Japan), Karasu mussel (China/Japan) alike. The freshwater pearl comes in a plethora of natural colours including white, cream, champagne, gold, silver, green, and peacock. Their sizes range from 1.0 mm to 13.0 mm diameter, making them the perfect classic pearl for even the littlest of girls.
